High-Speed Wireless Access for Existing Networks!
The Linksys WAP200 MIMO Wireless G Access Point lets you connect Wireless-G (802.11g) or Wireless-B (802.11b) devices to your wired network so you can add PCs to the network with no cabling hassle. Power over Ethernet support makes it easy to install -- you can mount the Access Point anywhere, even without ready access to a power plug. With appropriate Power Over Ethernet support at the other end, you only need to run one cable to the Access Point to deliver both data and power. Of course, you can also use the included AC adapter if your installation point has power available nearby.
Moreover, the integrated QoS features provide consistent voice and video quality on both the wired and wireless networks, enabling the deployment of business qualilty VoIP and video applications.
How Will Rangebooster Effect My Network? RangeBooster technology is a compatible add-on to standard Wireless-G which increases your wireless network's range up to two times, and its throughput by up to 35%. Unlike ordinary wireless technologies that are confused by signal reflections, RangeBooster uses two smart receivers at each end to detect and decode reflected signals at distances where standard technologies give up. You'll find that "dead spots" in the wireless coverage area are reduced, too.
Will The WAP200 Meet My Security Needs? The Advanced security features makes this solution ideal for your Business. Advanced wireless security using Wi-Fi Protected Access™ (WPA2 Enterprise) with up to 256-bit encryption, and the new Wireless Security Monitoring functionality gives your business the visibility and protection it needs. Used when Linksys 200-Series Wireless Adapters are present, the Wireless Security Monitoring functionality alerts you of possible wireless intruders, vulnerabilities in the wireless deployment, and visibility into Denial of Service attacks.
Additional features like Multiple BSSIDs, Wireless Roaming, Auto-channel selection, and Load balancing, make this solution ideal for your Business.
Why MIMO (Multiple-Input Multiple-Output)? MIMO refers to the use of multiple antennas both at the transmitter and receiver. It offers significant increases in data throughput and link range without additional bandwidth or transmit power. It achieves this by higher spectral efficiency (more bits per second per Hertz of bandwidth) and link reliability or diversity (reduced fading). |
