What Is DECT?
With the advent of wireless consumer electronics operating throughout most modern households at 900 mHz, 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz bandwidths, interference issues were inevitable for standard cordless telephones. From microwave ovens and baby monitors to WiFi systems and cellular telephony such as Bluetooth enabled products, all of these technologies contribute to make regular cordless phones less effective performers around the house and office. DECT technology, however, operates in a dedicated 1.9 GHz bandwidth which permits delivery of calls without the static, pops, hiss and buzz which can severely hinder the performance of most other cordless home and small office telephones.
The only difference between the CS70 and the CS70N is the microphone. The CS70 uses a replaceable, clear voice tube, while the CS70N uses a noise-canceling microphone. Both headsets have excellent sound quality, but the CS70N is recommended for noisy environments. |
